Cheap Flowers Revamped Beautiful...

My 'list' of crafty things I want to get done are never ending--I have so much to share with you all and so little time to do them. My husband, my craft assistant at times, saw my list once and almost fell off his chair laughing when he saw the title of this flower project. I had it written as 'create new flower species'. He knows I'm pretty darn crafty but...a scientist??

DIY Water-Proof Pom Poms for Outdoor Events!

One thing I absolutely love about pom poms, is that they are super inexpensive to make. They look expensive and can make a huge impact at any event or party. I have made pom poms before and they were a huge hit but I wanted to make them a bit more weather friendly for outdoor use. Instead of using tissue paper, I purchased plastic table covers at the 99 cent store. They are just as lightweight and easy to work with as tissue paper  but more durable.

The table covers are 54x108 inches. They come in many sizes. For the upcoming holiday of Fourth of July, I purchased red white and blue...

NO-SEW Up-Cycled Toddler T-Shirts in No Time!

Hello all. So here is the story behind this quick no-sew craft. My son absolutely loves this monkey pajama top shown above and insists on wearing it all the time...He has outgrown it since last year and cannot understand why I will not allow him to wear it. Believe me I have tried fitting it over his gigantic head just to make him stop whining about it but no luck. It is way too tiny.

Here was my quick thinking solution. I grabbed my scissor and cut the cute little monkey out. You can cut it exactly around the monkey or leave some of the white fabric around it.

2 Great Make-Up Tips

I know most girls have this issue. Your lip gloss can cost anywhere from $3.00 to $26.00 depending on the brand. You get great use out of it over a few weeks time period. Then all of a sudden the last 1/6th of the tube is unreachable! The wand to your lip gloss cannot reach the bottom of your tube and you need that extra glob to hold you through until the next pit stop to the make up counter...It is such a waste of good product I tell ya!

I have a trick that a friend recently taught me. Apparently, everyone knew this except me...Grab a cup of hot water. The temperature of the water should be what you would use for a cup of tea. Fill the cup enough to cover the lip gloss tube up to the top. Make sure the cover is not submerged in water. Have the water hit the tube about a half inch below where the tube cover or cap is.

Intimate DIY Fathers Day Photo Shoot...Priceless

Can't quite figure out what to give your dad or husband on Fathers Day? Here is something that comes from the heart.

(If this is for your dad) Without him noticing what you are up to, have someone snap candid photos of you and him...

(If this is for hubby) Snap candid photos of him and your child/children at play, at bedtime, reading, bonding etc.

Photos that are not posed or staged are theee BEST...they really show a love that cannot be denied. You can really see it in the eyes of the father, child, mother etc.

Gather the photos. Using a 8x10 frame, print and cut photos to create a collage and assemble in the frame. Gather words of love online or write your own...Add the date. You can do this every year and it can never get boring.

Below, is a collage of photos that I took and framed for my husbands' first fathers day...These shots were taken the night before fathers day. I framed it and placed it on the nightstand for him to see first thing in the morning. I got lotsa' points for that! :)

Dollar Store Candles for Wedding Centerpieces

Want to make beautiful custom candles for gifts or special events cheaply? There are so many ways to make custom candles from plain, dollar store candles. The possibilities are endless but here is just one more cool way to do this.

Things you will need:
  1. Dollar Store or cheap candles
  2. Scrap candles or tea lights
  3. Sauce pot and small glass container
  4. Flexible mold of any kind or design
Tea lights in white worked for this diy...I bought this mold at Michaels in the baking/ fondant section.
