The Sun Jar Simplified-Great Night Light for Kids!!

I was really inspired to make these 'Sun Jars' below when I saw them over at this website. They are just so magical and cool to look at...I knew my kiddies would love them! I am almost embarrassed to call this a craft because there was no real work involved in making this...I picked up a solar path light at Lowes, they come in all sizes and shapes and you can purchase them individually. They cost about four or five dollars.

Make Your Own UNIQUE Cake Toppers!

Hello there, I have been working on a video tutorial all weekend--My first ever. The video shows you how to make a monkey sculpture out of polymer clay (which is non-toxic). The clay then gets baked then painted--Trust me, you do not have to have any sculpting experience to do this one. I made a similar cake topper for my youngest son's first birthday cake and it came out pretty cute. Sooooo, I would love to show you how I made it. His birthday theme was a jungle/monkey theme and it was my goal to make his cake topper which can be saved as a keepsake or memorabilia. Of course, I had to have something to save for this special milestone.

Shadow Box your most PRECIOUS Memories

Hello all! So, anyone that knows me, knows that I am obsessed with anything that pertains to keepsakes when it comes to the kids. I have made growth charts. I had their hand and foot dipped in paint and printed. I've molded their hands and feet into sculptures--you name it I've done it!

Refinishing Tarnished & Faded Costume Jewelery!

Hate the thought of your favorite costume jewelry fading so fast?  I have to say that I had this pair of hoop earrings for years and was surprised at how long they lasted without fading. I bought them at EXPRESS and though they are great (non-gold) quality, they fade eventually. I have a few pieces of jewelry that I have covered in Gold Leaf sheets or flakes and they look amazing!

NEW Version of the Plastic Bottle Vase

I know what you're thinking, this is going to be just another spray painted bottle turned vase-but no. I really love all the tutorials out there that shows you how to up-cycle a pretty shaped bottle of any kind and turn it into a vase. Some look fantastic while some, you can pretty much tell that it's a screw cap glass or plastic bottle under all the paint. Not fooling me buddy! This all may look very complicated but it was probably the easiest, fastest project I've ever done.

Monkey Bird Feeder made with Soda Bottles & Lots of Love

It's Spring Time! This time of year is so special to me and I am sure it is for millions of others. The sounds of chirping birds, blooming plants and trees everywhere, and of course frequent trips to your local garden centers! This excites me. While most women prefer to go to the mall and pick out a new outfit, I prefer to go to Home Depot or Lowes to pick out a new plant or tree. On my recent trip there I bought a bird feeder and kinda regret it because it was so simple that I felt robbed! I could've made it myself. I ended up keeping it but decided to try and make one with the kids just for kicks. Here's how.
